Webinar for PATIENTS with physician expert on Thymoma and Thymic Carcinoma

Patients with a Thymic Epithelial Tumor (TET), thymoma or thymic carcinoma, face several problems such as having limited information about the disease or reference centres; difficulty in making a timely and appropriate diagnosis, resulting in delayed or inadequate treatments; limited access to appropriate clinical expertise and limited access to available treatments.

In order to provide information about therapies, specialized centers, and diseases, since 2022 , in May during TMAM (Thymic Malignansies Awareness Month) TUTOR organizes a WEBINAR in english for patients with physicians expert in Thymic Tumors.

Webinar aims are
-Facilitate the distribution of knowledge and information about therapies, specialized centers, and diseases.
Share experiences with other patients and caregiver from all around the world.
-Enhances and strengthens the connection between patients and the clinical and scientific community that are experts in these rare tumors and related pathologies.
-Encourage the patient to take on a proactive and responsible role in managing the disease, making decisions, and adhering to therapy by promoting their centrality and participation(empowerment and engagement).

In the webinar are involved:

  • TUTOR (rare thoracic tumors) is the Italian non-profit organization for patients with thymic tumors and mesothelioma and is E-PAG (European Patient Advocacy Group) collaborating closely with physicians to enhance access to care and foster research.
  • PATIENTS AND CAREGIVERS, from all over the world, that share their experience to promote a patient’s engagement for a better quality of life
